Indonesia must be returned rewarded poor performance over the industry of information technology (IT). This time, Indonesia had to go down the ranks in the industry competitiveness index of IT technology.
Results of research conducted Economics Intelligent Unit (EIU), sponsored by BSA, ranked Indonesia 59th world statistic, fell one place from the previous study results in 2008.
"This study shows that a country that has strict laws on intellectual property rights will generally excel in IT competitiveness index," explained Director of BSA Asia-Pacific Claro Parlede, during a press conference at the Hotel Sultan, Jakarta, Wednesday (14/10/2009) .
